Ni hao, everyone!
Healthy School Week is coming up in June, between the 11th and the 15th.
We would love to know what your school is doing to raise the awareness!
Healthy eating is essential for the development of our children and it impacts both their physical and their mental well-being.
There are a multitude of ways to teach children how to make the best choices when it comes to what they eat and it's essential that we do this as a community.
1. Set an example
Children see us grown-ups as role-models. When we choose the apple instead of the pack of crisps, our little ones will become more inclined to do the same.
2. Have fun with your food.
Make smoothies and get your little ones to help. They can pick, wash, get the bowls ready or season the meal - getting them involved in the process will bring appreciation and with it, a great appetite.
3. Go shopping as a family project.
Local markets are a great way to introduce children to "real food". Great food doesn't come wrapped in plastic - help your little chefs assess and choose (some) the products and create a delicious meals.
Little Mandarin Classes is getting involved too - schools and nurseries can book Little Healthy Workshops in June 2018.
Children can learn vocabulary related to sports and food along with greetings and numbers.
We look forward to seeing you all in this last half-term of the 2018-2019 Academic Year. Enjoy!
