During this difficult time it is understandable if you are bored at home. Here are just a few things you could do to keep yourself entertained to take your mind of things and keep relaxed.
My name is Aimee and writer for Little Mandarin Classes and here are my top 5 things to do in quarantine:
Recently, a good way for me to suppress boredom and kill time is making Origami hearts. Origami for me has been a relaxing way to improve my concentration and to be creative with just the simple folding of a piece of paper. It is a great way to just sit down by yourself or with your family and be innovative and productive in this dull time.
I learnt how to do my origami hearts with a YouTube video.
2.LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE
During quarantine I have used this time to enhance my Mandarin skills with simple videos.
An example is Little Mandarin Classes YouTube videos, where you can learn new words an how to pronounce them. And our online classes which you can sign up for with this link: https://www.littlemandarinclasses.co.uk/online
3. READ A BOOK
A useful way I found to consume time, is to get comfortable and engross yourself in an amazing book, where you can get into the plot and the characters of the book.
Lately I have been reading Miracle Creek by Angie Kim. Reading had been really beneficial for me as it is a way for me to de-stress and relax while still engaging the brain.
A simple way for me to feel good and refreshed for the rest of the day, is to start my day of with a workout. Its is good way for me to enforce and establish a routine in these long days, and help my day seem more organised. Additionally it also helps to put me in a better mood and make me more optimistic for my day, not to mention how it makes me feel more energised for the day ahead.
Here is an example for an at home workout:
5. TURN ON YOUR MUSIC AND JAM OUT
This is perhaps my favourite way to entertain myself in Quarantine.I blast out my music and dance. This is a good way for me to tune out the world and just have fun, its helps to lift my mood and decrease my anxieties around the current situation. Currently my favourite song to dance to is Intentions by Justin Bieber.
